Benjamin Brown

 



  

Benjamin Brown came from the east and at a young age headed west in> search of his fortune, learning many valuable lessons the hard way on his road to the promised land. Benjamin’s obsessive nature lends itself to an intense immersion in his subject matter. In 1998 he was introduced to glass, and a fascination with the molten material captivated him. He integrated steel and other media into his work to escape stagnation in the single medium, and explores in sculpture the inherent and individual qualities of the materials he employs. In 2007 Ben graduated with distinction from The California College of the Arts in Oakland, California, where he currently resides with his family. He has shown at galleries in Oakland, CA and Eugene, OR and has work in a private collection in San Francisco.
